Which should I choose, DoorDash or a quote?
DoorDash for anything you want today: a plate, a half dozen, a couple of dozen. A quote for anything with a headcount, a date or a delivery window: offices, parties, holidays. If you are not sure, send the quote request and Maggie will tell you the simplest way.
Can I pick up my order from the kitchen?
No. We are a delivery-only kitchen with no dine-in or walk-in service. Small orders are delivered through DoorDash and catering orders are delivered by our team. It keeps the kitchen focused on cooking.
How much notice does a catering order need?
The more, the better. A regular office lunch usually needs only a few days; a wedding or a holiday order should be reserved as early as you can, because the weeks before Thanksgiving and Christmas fill first. See lead times by event type.
What does catering delivery cost?
$20 within 10 miles of zip code 75070, then $0.725 per additional mile (the IRS business mileage rate). Optional buffet line set-up is $293 and buffet servers are $147 per server for three hours. Everything is listed in your written quote.
Is there a minimum for catering?
There is no fixed minimum. Tell us the headcount and Maggie will tell you what makes sense. Most catering orders run from two dozen to twenty dozen tamales.

How do I pay?
DoorDash orders are paid in the app. Catering orders are confirmed with a written quote and can be paid by Cash App ($MaggiesTamales4U), Venmo (@MaggiesTamales4U) or by card through Square (pay with card). Once the quote is confirmed by Maggie's Tamales, all orders must be prepaid before they go into production.
